Institutional Goals

1.  To make people and communities reach higher levels of health, affectivity, awareness, ethics, cognitive capacity, communicative capacity, aesthetic sensitivity and participation in the building of a free, just, pluralist, democratic, peaceful society  in harmony with nature.
 
2.  To develop an academic culture grounded on scientific-technical and humanistic rigorousness and intellectual openness, by permanently exercising critics, dialogue and productivity, within a supportive environment and cultural tolerance.
 
 
3. To orientate University actions towards the solution of the Surcolombian region and country main problems through the potential and competence  development in people, humanistic, scientific, technological, artistic and cultural knowledge and the adaptation of the social organizations to the demands of the integral, equal and sustainable development. 
 
 
4.  To create an organizational climate and an academic environment suitable to put into practice the institutional principles  in accomplishment of the mission, characterized by the different expressions of  flexibility, autonomy, articulation and decision decentralization.
